Harry Leurink
Wood carving and sculpting in wood with Harry Leurink.
Relief carving in wood
Wood carving is a good way to regain balance between your mind and body. You re-learn to concentrate on what you are doing and you discover along the way that you can do much more than you think.
I will teach you the basics of relief carving in lime wood and the use and sharpening of gouges in 5 days. We will create a three-dimensional wood carving that you will be proud of for a long time. And it will leave you wanting more!
The course stimulates your creativity, focus, and fitness, both mentally and physically. Wood carving forces you to push your boundaries. The creation of wood carvings is an ancient and archaic activity. A skill that will provide peace, concentration, and self-confidence.
The course is taught by Harry Leurink, a very experienced professional woodcarver. His work can be seen at www.harrysnijdthout.nl and speaks for itself. Harry has recently started teaching, and both he and his students are very pleased with it.
For whom?
Wood carving is suitable for both people with experience in woodworking or sculpting and for those who have no experience and may think they have two left hands.
You will receive tailored lessons. You are going to create something that pushes your personal boundaries.
The joy of creating comes first!
