Our dream in the South of France
In 2015, we, Derk and Guido, found our place in southern France: an old farmhouse full of history and potential, hidden among the hills of the Aveyron. We embarked on an intensive renovation and turned a dilapidated house into a unique Bed & Breakfast where luxury, tranquillity and personality come together.
What started as a great adventure grew into Maison de la Bonne Vie: a home for guests who value quality, a warm welcome and a unique experience away from the crowd.

Handles everything behind the scenes: reservations, administration, purchasing and daily contact with guests. He enjoys sharing his love of good food and a good glass of wine.

Chef & Handyman
Is chef, host and handyman. In the kitchen, he creates surprising dishes and a relaxed atmosphere at the table every day. Always up for a chat or practical help.

At Maison de la Bonne Vie, we believe that true luxury lies in personal attention and the little things that make the difference. Not large-scale, but warm and genuine - exactly how we ourselves like to be received. We want you to feel not only welcome with us, but also seen and heard.
For us, hospitality means making time for a good conversation, a breakfast that has been lovingly prepared, a room where you can relax, and details that are just right. We consciously design our rooms and gîte with an eye for quality and comfort, so you can enjoy a relaxing stay. If you want utmost privacy, we keep our distance, which is also hospitality; we sense that perfectly..

During the day, you can choose from numerous walking or cycling routes full of beautiful views, or discover the hidden villages and local markets. Want tips or a nice route mapped out? We will gladly think along with you and help you make reservations or plan an outing.
In the evening, slide in for dinner with fresh, local produce, lovingly prepared by Guido. The evenings at Maison de la Bonne Vie are a time to come together, share stories and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere - whether you sit at the table with other guests or in privacy on your own terrace.
